Snow Day Learning Activities

 

Letters & Sounds: Use Fundations Alphabet Card & Speedy Sheet to practice letter names & sounds. 

 

Word Work/Writing: 

*If possible, please print and use kindergarten lined paper for handwriting practice to encourage proper formation.  

Option 1: Write your name, uppercase & lowercase letters.

Option 2:   Write 3 CVC words that rhyme with bug.

                  Write 3 CVC words that rhyme with hot.

 

Reading: Read and retell a story! 

What happened in the beginning, middle, and end? Who are the characters? What is the setting/where did the story take place? Can you name the problem and solution?

 

Math: 

Option 1: Write#1-20 on paper. 

Option 2: Go to ClassLink - IXL math and practice with addition or use small toys to practice adding and subtracting groups of objects.

 

Science: Build a snowman outside in the snowy weather! Feel free to send your teacher a picture to share with the rest of the class!
