Dear All-Star Friend,

 

Welcome to Kindergarten at Stony Brook Elementary School! My name is Mrs. Beyer, and I will be your teacher this year. I hope that you have enjoyed a fun-filled summer.

 

I am so happy to have you in my class! I have been working in my classroom, getting it ready for you. There is a cubby with your name on it, waiting for your backpack, and I can’t wait to show you around! 

 

You will learn to read and write, create art projects, sing songs, play on the playground, use computers, learn about fitness in gym, and choose books from the library. Our special year will be filled with learning, laughing and sharing as we make new friends and work together as a team. You will discover how to become an All-Star Student and be the best that you can be.

 

I hope that you and your parents will come to the Kindergarten Orientation on Thursday, August 31 to visit your new classroom and learn about all of the interesting and fun activities I have planned for you this year! I am looking forward to meeting you, and I am very excited for our year together!
