Hi 4th Graders!
I'm so excited to share this news with you! This year, you will have two teachers in your day and you'll be switching classes! In the morning, you will have Mrs. Overman as your homeroom, math, science, and social studies teacher. Then you will come see me after specials and lunch for an afternoon of language arts. I'm so excited!
You may know me as a 5th grade teacher, but this year, I'll actually be teaching both grades! This is very cool for me because before I was a 5th grade teacher, I taught 4th here at BT. I'm excited to have the opportunity to work with both groups this year. Together, we will explore new books, expand our reading skills, and try writing in new genres. It's going to be a great year!
Just as a reminder, you won't need any special supplies. Everything is already at Bear Tavern and ready for you! You will just need to bring a pair of inexpensive headphones to keep at school.
You should also know that my classroom is in the 5th grade hallway! We will practice transitioning between Mrs. Overman's classroom in the 4th grade hallway (E Cluster) and my room during the first few weeks of school. You can find me in the last classroom on the right in the 5th grade hallway (room 102). Feel free to stop by and check it out at the BT Open House on Thursday, August 31st. I have a LOT of books that I'm excited to share with you! Otherwise, I'll see you on the first day of school!
