Dear 5th Graders,

Welcome! I'm so glad that you are here! I hope you had an amazing and safe summer. I am so excited to start our year together with some familiar faces and some new! Fifth grade is such an awesome year, and I'm very lucky to share it with you!

Be sure to check out your full schedule on Oncourse. You will see me listed as your homeroom teacher, but you will have a few teachers during your day! Be sure to check out who you have for Language Arts, Math, and Science/Social Studies. While there will be some overlap, for the most part you will have different friends in your homeroom/specials than your academic classes. This is one exciting privilege in 5th grade!

All of your school supplies will be ready for you in our classroom on the first day of school, Tuesday, September 2nd. However, don't forget a snack and a reusable water bottle. If you are like me and love to get everything ready for the beginning of a new school year, here are a few more things to consider. You are welcome to bring in some pictures or magnets for the inside of your locker, but just remember that everything must be removable. You will also need a set of inexpensive headphones or earbuds to keep at school. You don't need to worry about having those ready for the first day.

I hope you enjoy your last few days of summer! Don't forget that you can visit our classroom (room 102) on Tuesday, August 26th at 4 pm if you want to check it out before school starts! In the meantime, you can also learn a little bit about me here. You can also send me an email at [email protected] to say hello or to let me know if you have a question.

Enjoy the rest of your summer, and I'll see you really soon!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Clark
