“Good habits are the key to good health.  Healthy students perform better academically, have better attendance in school, and behave better in class.”  - American Heart Association.

 

 

 

  

 

Phys. ed. class are scheduled twice a week. Sneakers are required to participate.

Classes are held outside on the athletic field, or inside the cafeteria on inclement weather days.

 

All second grade students will learn four primary components of physical fitness:

 Muscular strength

 Muscular endurance

 Cardiorespiratory endurance

 Flexibility 

 

With this foundation students will develop healthy habits that could last a lifetime. Help reinforce those habits with  ten minutes of daily activity at home.  Check the "Homework & Events" link for fitness challenges for the entire family.
