Life can be very busy and it may be challenging to find time to practice necessary skills with your child.  Sometimes it's also a struggle to encourage your child to practice because it isn't fun.  We want our young scholars to LOVE TO LEARN. Make learning a part of your child's everyday activities.

 

 Try this...

 

*Have your child identify numbers, letters and words at the grocery store 

 

*Read license plates and signs when driving 

 

*Listen to educational songs in the car 

 

*Make lists together focusing on letter sounds

 

*Tell stories (Adults can start the story and your child can add a detail.)

 

*Have your child set the table, counting the forks, plates, etc. 

 

*Ask your child....What do you wonder? (about pictures, objects, events)
