Welcome to 5A!
My name is Ms. Roeloffs and I am excited to share some things about myself. I have been teaching for over twenty years and I love being a teacher. I have achieved a Liberal Arts Degree, a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology/Elementary Education, I am certified in Special Education practices, and have a Masters Degree in Contemporary Educational Practice. My classroom experience includes fourth, fifth, and second grades as well as reading, and special needs.
In my leisure time, I like exercising, walking, bike riding, going to the beach, reading, and being with my family and dog, Oreo.
My teaching style is relaxed. I believe the classroom belongs to the whole class and together we create a work, learning environment, and social setting that is enjoyable and productive. My goal is to foster the students into becoming lifelong learners, self-motivated, and aware of their own learning styles. Teaching students to embrace, support, and contribute to the whole helps them to grow socially, personally, and as professional students. I believe these traits will lead to a successful student and individual.
