All medication, including over the counter medications needs a Medical Providers note.  The district medication permission form must also be completed and signed by both the physician and the parent. This form along with the prescribed medication in its original container must be brought to school by the parent/guardian.

All medication MUST be administered in the nurses’ office. If you administer medication to your child before he/she comes to school, which could affect their performance, please send in a note to the teacher.

Please have your child’s physician complete the Asthma Action Plan, Food Allergy Plan, Diabetes Medical Management Plan, Epi Pen, Seizure Action Plan or Glucagon forms completed if it pertains to your child.

Several students with food allergies attend our school. In an effort to limit exposure and reduce cross contaminations from food allergy please adhere to the district food allergy policy.

We will continue in our efforts to keep our school healthy this year, as always. Please review proper hand-washing techniques with your child, and remind them to wash their hands before and after meals, after using the bathroom and after playing. Also, we encourage you to reinforce proper respiratory etiquette; I like to say… “Cover your Cough and Catch your Sneeze!” by using a tissue when coughing and sneezing and/or catch it in their elbow.

Screenings will be done throughout the school year. Height, Weight, Blood Pressure, vision and hearing screenings will be done. Color vision is checked in 2nd grade. No news is always good news. Any questions, please e-mail me.
