Rules keep our classroom safe and respectful. The first few weeks of school we practice following our procedures and routines, and adhering to our rules daily throughout the year. This year we will be implementing a Responsive Classroom approach to learning.
We will use a lot of techniques in our classroom to creative a positive and safe climate. Our DeBug System, S.T.A.R., the PRETZEL, and (my favorite) the BALLOON! Any one of these may be used at school, on the bus, or even at home. Each one of us has a responsibility to keep each other safe and successful.
We also have many incentives to promote a positive learning environment...
1. Student Points / Character Can Ticket - given to a student (s) who follows class rules, safety procedures, follows directions, and/or exhibits EHY Character.
2. Fuzzy Friends - clipped on for being "caught" being a good friend / citizen.
3. Warm Fuzzies - pom pom given to class for exceeding classroom / hallway expectations.
4. Yellow Ticket - "Mystery Walker" - studet consistently walking through the halls appropiately.
5. Hole Punch - every student receives a card. 10 hole punches = pick from the prize box.
