Hello! My name is Amy Cromen, and I am your child's Kindergarten teacher! This is my 19th year teaching Kindergarten and my 14th year here at Emma Havens Young.
I have three beautiful and caring children, Delaney, Lavery, and Logan. My oldest, Delaney, is a sophomore this year at Villanova University, and the twins just recently turned 18. Lavery will be attending OCC and Logan will be attending a post secondary Ocean County Vocational program within the electrical trade. ;-D. They are funny and smart and my biggest accomplishment. Mr. Jake is my best friend and he has two girls of his own. Skyler will be a senior in high school this year and Sunny Jo will begin her freshman year. The girls live in North Carolina but visit us often. Together we are one shy of the "Brady Bunch" (for those that remember ;-p).
Some fun facts about Ms. Cromen...I am originally from Brick and attended Brick Schools. DAVE MATTHEWS BAND and is my all time favorite band, but I like all types of music (even Jack Hartmann). I love to sing in class, but I sing out of key so be kind please ;-p My favorite color is BLUE, favorite meal is TACOS, favorite snack is GOLDFISH "fishy crackers", and my favorite drink is LEMONADE from Chick-Fil-A and of course coffee!
I love the fall and ALL things pumpkin :) I LOVE the Cowboys and the Yankees and on the weekends you can find me drinking coffee in my jeans, tshirt and baseball cap chilling with my family :)
Teaching has always been a passion of mine! I have a hands on approach with my students, because I believe motivation is the key to success. Your child WILL climb mountains this year - just wait and see :)
