Dear Pre-K Parents,
I am very excited to be your child’s teacher this school year, 2025-2026!
My name is Mrs. Hernandez. I have been a part of West New York Public School‘s family since September 2007. I look forward to working as a team with you to assist your child in reaching his/her full potential.
Preschool is a wonderful beginning to a child’s school experience. Recent research has shown that high-quality preschool boosts brain development and increases school readiness and cognitive skills.
Our early childhood program has chosen an age-appropriate and research-based curriculum for our pre-k students called “Tools of the Mind”.

In our classroom, we have exciting learning centers where the students can learn through exploration and socialization. Throughout the year, the children will learn how to count, colors, the days of the week, the alphabet, how to rhyme, and much more.
