The Go Math! series is a program that is focused on helping each child to think critically, problem solve and enhance their skills. It is a very interactive program with hands on lessons and a strong connection to technology. 

 

 

 

 

Here are some of the topics we will cover in math this year:

 

1. Place Value (using addition and subtraction)

2. Multiplication

3. Division

4. Number Patterns 

5. Fractions (adding, subtracting, comparing and multiplying)

6. Decimals

7. Geometry (angles and geometric shapes)

8. Measurement (customary and metric)

9. Area and Perimeter

 

We will be working on becoming stronger thinkers who can solve problems we face not only in math class, but in everyday life. Each new math topic continues to build on what we previously learned, and, due to this, it is important to focus on any troubles early on in order to continue successful progress!
