Dear Parents,

 

            Welcome to 2nd grade!  I am looking forward to working closely with you to ensure your child has a wonderful year!  I truly believe that communication is the best tool for success in school.  Do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns.  My email address is [email protected].

 

            Your child will come home with a blue "Take Home" folder everyday.  Please be sure to go through everything that’s in there daily. Some things can stay home, while others may need to be sent back, sometimes with a signature.  You can also put any notes for me or the main office in this folder.  One of my biggest goals for 2nd grade is creating more independence.  Your child will be in charge of packing and unpacking their folder at school.  You can help them at home with this by putting them in charge of putting their homework in their folder when they are done, as well as making sure their folder goes back in their backpack.

 

         Healthy snacks and lunches are essential for a busy day filled with lots of learning!  Your child may also keep a water bottle at their seat since we do not have a water fountain in our classroom.  Please be sure to send a peanut/treenut free snack since we eat in the classroom.

 

         Your child will need some supplies to start the school year off.  Please click on the supply list link to see what your child will need to bring.  Make sure you label your child's backpack, snack, lunch/lunch money, coat and any other personal belongings with your child's name.  Smaller supplies, such as pencils and glue sticks, do not need to be labeled.  Also, please fill out this parent survey so I can learn a little about your child.  Thank you in advance!
