Dear Friends,

 

I hope that you are having a great summer!  I am excited that you will be in my 1st grade class.  We are going to have a lot of fun together this year.  We will make new friends, learn new things, share, read and write stories, explore math, perform science experiments, learn social studies, use our new Chromebooks and much more!

 

We will enjoy getting to know each other soon.  A few things about me are I have 3 grown boys; 2 cats, Blaze & Zakai; and I like paddleboarding, photography, traveling, playing board games and reading.

 

You may recognize me from the hallway or recess, but I can't wait to officially meet you at the walk through this year.  You'll discover where to go, how to check in, where to find your hook, mailbox, desk and check out all of the areas in our classroom.

 

For First Grade, you will need a backpack, lunchbox, supply box, headphones, and a few additional supplies.  If your grown-up needs to send something to me, it can go in our special red, take-home folder.  Your backpack should be large enough to fit your folder, library books and lunchbox.  The only things you will need daily in your backpack are your snack, lunch, library books and folder.  Please make sure you know what your snack is and what to save for lunch.

 

I am looking forward to seeing many familiar friends and faces, and well as meeting our new friends! I'm excited to begin our memorable journey together this year!
