Regarding Supplies For Our Room:

The students receive a Take-Home Folder.  Your child has a "keep home" side and a "bring back" side.  Please check this folder every night for homework papers, returned papers, notes, information from the office, etc.  I have also provided the students with reading, writing, and math journals.  Students will need to purchase a 1" flexible binder and a set of 8-tab dividers (write-on tabs are easiest for the students to use).

I give each student a small water bottle (8oz) to start the year.  It can be refilled and brought back to school or replaced.  If you choose to replace it, please use the same size bottle so it will fit in the desks.

We use 3"x3" Post-Its to keep track of our thinking as readers.  I have found that the Post-It brand works best.  Other brands often curl, lose their stick, or are too sticky and tear book pages when removed.  Students will need to purchase these and replace as needed during the year.

Glue sticks will also need to be replaced during the year.  We use a lot of glue sticks.
