Dear Principal: Congratulations on the designation of your Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) unit as a Junior ROTC “Honor Unit with Distinction” during School Year 2020 – 2021. The Department of the Army presents this award to the JROTC units that maintain an exceptionally high standard of performance.
The evaluation of JROTC units is a multi-faceted process which supports the accreditation of JROTC Programs under the oversight of Cadet Command.
Your JROTC Program’s designation of “Honor Unit with Distinction” represents a significant achievement and your unit is commended for a job well done. Your Senior Army Instructor will be able to nominate candidates for acceptance to the Military Service Academies. His / Her nomination is equivalent to a recommendation from a Senator or Congressman. Additionally,
