Welcome to Mindful Immersion!
(aka Mindfulness)
During the course of the semester, we will take time to breath, meditate, and reflect while we learn about Mindfulness and how it can postively impact our lives. We will practice yoga and qigong, experience sound baths and aromatherapy, journal and be still in nature all while learning techniques to help keep ourselves grounded.
Mindfulness is divided into five units:
~Self Awareness
~The History of Buddhism and the Science of Mindfulness
~The Mindful Senses
~Gratitude
~Resilence
Students will participate in various activities in addition to reading, viewing, and writing about Mindfulness and its impacts. Students will have ample class time to complete work.
