The First Grade teachers are looking forward to September and meeting all of you. We are planning a school year filled with exciting learning experiences.  While you are having fun you can get ready for first grade by reading, reading, reading! Recommended summer reading lists can be found http://www.southharrison.k12.nj.us.

  

Here is a general list of items recommended for use in First Grade at South Harrison.

___ 1 book bag (without wheels, please. Label with your child's name.) 

___ 1 pencil box 

___ 2 pink erasers 

___ 1 dozen pencils (all wood- no plastic wrappers) 

___ 1 box of 24 crayons 

___ 1 pack of 12 Crayola colored pencils

___ 1 pair of scissors with a rounded tip 

___ 3 low odor FINE TIP EXPO dry erase markers 

___ One 8-pack Crayola Washable Fine Point Markers – Classic Colors 

___ Headphones (please put in a gallon Ziploc bag and label with name) 

 

DO NOT LABEL the supplies.  Some supplies may need to be replenished mid-year, so you may want to consider purchasing some extras during the summer sales.
