Classroom Rules

 

  • Students must Respect adults, peers, and themselves in and out of the learning environment.
  • Students must be equipped, prepared, and organized for class everyday.
  • Students must raise their hands before speaking in class.
  • Directions are limited, so students must be attentive at all times in class.
  • Students must exemplify integrity amongst their peers. 
  • Students cellphones must be off during class. 

 

 

Consequences

 

  • Students will receive 100 points weekly for behavior and operate on point system.
  • The consequence model is from (Xenos, 2012), which is designed to advance students’ academic achievement.
  • 1st consequence is a warning which takes away three points.
  • 2nd consequence will result in five points are taken away.
  • 3rd consequence will result in student’s calling home while 10 points are deducted.
  • 4th and final consequence, students are subjected to a conference with the principal and disciplinarian while 15 points are taken away.

 

 

Rewards

 

  • A positive call home will be made to parents.
  • Special rewards will be given to recognize academic achievement.
  • A free “I Show Positive Behavior” T-shirt will be given per semester.
  • One “No Homework” pass.
