Classroom Rules
- Students must Respect adults, peers, and themselves in and out of the learning environment.
- Students must be equipped, prepared, and organized for class everyday.
- Students must raise their hands before speaking in class.
- Directions are limited, so students must be attentive at all times in class.
- Students must exemplify integrity amongst their peers.
- Students cellphones must be off during class.
Consequences
- Students will receive 100 points weekly for behavior and operate on point system.
- The consequence model is from (Xenos, 2012), which is designed to advance students’ academic achievement.
- 1st consequence is a warning which takes away three points.
- 2nd consequence will result in five points are taken away.
- 3rd consequence will result in student’s calling home while 10 points are deducted.
- 4th and final consequence, students are subjected to a conference with the principal and disciplinarian while 15 points are taken away.
Rewards
- A positive call home will be made to parents.
- Special rewards will be given to recognize academic achievement.
- A free “I Show Positive Behavior” T-shirt will be given per semester.
- One “No Homework” pass.
