Congratulations to the 2024 Marching Band
Yee-Haw! Congratulations to the Palmyra Marching Band as they ride off into the sunset after their historic season. At Saturday’s Cavalcade of Band Championships, the band came home with a 2nd place finish out of 15 bands. They scored a 90.65, just missing out on the school record. The band also finished second for Best Visual, Best Effect, Best Color Guard and third for Best Music. Of the 40 plus “A” class bands of all sizes and divisions at all three Cavalcade championships this weekend, they beat all but 2 of them. They also completed their year with all 1st and 2nd place finishes for the entire season, also a group first. They were only defeated by 2 bands in their class all year, and defeated larger top program schools such as Lenape, Rancocas Valley and Burlington City. They won for Best Music, Best Effect and Best Visual numerous times as well. Congratulations to the band again on a great performance and a historic season.
Yee-Haw! Congratulations to the Palmyra Marching Band for their 1st place finish at the Washington Township Cavalcade of Bands competition on Saturday. This is their fourth First place honor this year. They totally dominated the competition beating their second place finisher by over 5 points! Just like weeks past, they again won captions for Best Music, Best Visual and Best Effect. They again scored higher than all the other “A” class bands including Cherry Hill East and Washington Township. They are currently ranked Second in Cavalcade of Bands for the Independence A class.

Yee-Haw! Congratulations to the Palmyra Marching Band for their 2nd place finish at the Seneca HS Band competition on Saturday. This is their second 2nd place finish, and the fifth straight week they have placed top 2. The band beat their much larger perennial powerhouse school competitors, Lenape, Rancocas Valley and Burlington City. As in past weeks, the band still won the captions for Best Ensemble Music and Best Music Effect. The band also had the second best score for all “A” class bands regardless of size. They are off next week before going for the state Championship in two weeks. Congratulations on another great performance.
Yee-Haw! Congratulations to the Palmyra Marching Band for their 1st place finish at the Plymouth Whitemarsh Cavalcade of Bands competition on Saturday. This is the third straight week the band has taken home first place. Just like the past 2 weeks, the Band again won the Specialty award for Best Winds, and won captions for Best Music and Best Overall Effect. They again defeated the 2nd place group by 2 points. Besides beating the rest of their division, they also defeated all other “A” class bands in the show, including bands almost five times their size.

The band had a dominating performance defeating the second place school by over 4 points! They again won captions for Best Music, Best Visual and Best Overall Effect. So far this year they have earned two 1st places and one 2nd place finish. Congratulations again on a great performance!

The band beat a perennial powerhouse in route to winning Best Visual, Best Music, Best Overall Effect, and Best Percussion. Congratulations to the band for a great performance all around.
Yee-Haw! Congratulations to the Palmyra Marching Band for their 2nd place finish at the Cinnaminson Tournament of Bands Competition on Saturday. They finished with a score of 74.72, one of the highest ever to begin a year. The crowd thoroughly enjoyed their Western Show.

Congratulations to the 2023 Palmyra Marching Band
Congratulations to the Palmyra Marching Band for their 6th place finish at the Cavalcade of Bands All-States Championships on Saturday.
Performing in a crowded field of 12, the band finished their season with their best performance of the year scoring an 84. The band placed 4th in almost all of their captions, narrowly missing out on 4th place overall. The Color Guard had their best show of the year and placed 3rd overall. Congratulations again on a great performance and a great season.
Congratulations to the Palmyra Marching Band for their 2nd place finish at the Cavalcade of Bands Competition at Hatboro Horsham HS on Saturday. The band had an amazing performance winning BEST COLOR GUARD, BEST PERCUSSION, and BEST OVERALL EFFECT. They also won captions for Best Ensemble Music and Best Overall Effect Music. They will finish their season at the All-States Championships in New Oxford next weekend.

Despite another night of gusty wind, the band and color guard easily had their best performance of the season scoring an 82.45. They are currently 2 points ahead of last year’s pace. Congratulations on a great performance.
Congratulations to the Palmyra Marching Band for their 2nd place finish at the US Bands Competition at Lenape HS on Saturday. The band put on an inspired performance despite gusty winds and other weather issues. They look to continue their roll next week in Clayton. Congratulations on a great performance.
Congratulations to the Palmyra Marching Band for their 1st place finish at the Cavalcade of bands Competition at Plymouth Whitemarsh on Saturday. The band easily had their best performance of the season scoring a 71.55. The band won the Caption for BEST FIELD MUSIC from all band classes by a wide margin. The band also won BEST WINDS and BEST PERCUSSION for their division. Color Guard had an outstanding show as well, although colorguard awards were not given. Congratulations band on a great performance.

Congratulations to the Palmyra Marching Band for their 8th place finish at the Cavalcade of Bands All-States Championships on Saturday. Despite going on first in a field of 15, the band finished their season with their best performance of the year scoring an 86.205. The band placed 3rd for Ensemble Visual and 4th for Visual Effect. Percussion easily had their best show of the season with a 5th place finish and color guard finished 6th overall. Congratulations again on a great performance and a great season.
Congratulations to the Palmyra Marching Band for their 2nd place finish at the Cavalcade of Bands State Championships at Washington Township HS on Saturday. The band had another great performance raising their score to an 83.84. The band won the category for BEST EFFECT for their class. Once again, they also won BEST MUSIC EFFECT for not only their class, but the entire show. Congratulations on a great performance. They will compete in the All-States Championships next weekend for their last show of the year.

Congratulations to the Palmyra Marching Band for their 5th place finish (out of 12) at the Cavalcade of Bands Independence A Championships at Hershey Pa, this past weekend. They scored an 86.345. Great performances were displayed by all the members. The band even earned first for the caption of BEST MUSIC ENSEMBLE. Congratulations for a great season.
Cavalcade of Bands held their NJ State Championships this past weekend at Washington Township HS. The Little Band that Could, our Palmyra Marching Band had their best performance of the year finishing in 3rd place out of the 10 bands in their Independence A class. They scored a season high with an 86.63. They were only 8 tenths of a point out of first place. The band also won BEST VISUAL, and finished 3rd for BEST EFFECT. The color guard also had a great show, finishing in 2nd place. They will finish their competitive season Sunday at the All-States Championship in Hershey, PA.
Congratulations to the Palmyra Marching band for their 1st place finish in the Independence A class this past weekend at William Tennent High School. They had their best show of the year. In the process the group won captions for Best Visual, Best Ensemble Music, Best Visual Effect and Best Music Effect, and finished second for Best Field Music.
They're Back!
After a year away from competition, the Palmyra Marching band continued where they left off as they roared into their first competition this past weekend at Ridley High School. In a packed Independence class, the band took home 3rd place scoring a whopping 76.77. This is one of the highest scores they have had at this point of the season. The group also finished 6th overall for Best in Show out of the 17 groups performing. The group had strong performances from the Color Guard, Percussion and band.

Congratulations to the Palmyra Marching band for their performance at the Clayton Cavalcade of Bands show. They continued to improve and raised their score to a 76.7. They ahd their best show of the year and really started to up their visual performance.
Congratulations to the Palmyra Marching Band for their performance at the Millville Cavalcade of Bands Competition. The band had their best performance of the year so far, scoring a 73.8. They again had strong visual performances and had one of the best Music effect performances as well.
Congratulations to the Palmyra Marching Band for their 2nd Place finish this past weekend at West Chester East HS. The band had a good performance scoring a 71.7. The group also won captions for BEST Visual Ensemble and BEST Visual Effect.
Congratulations to the Palmyra Marching Band for their 3rd place finish at the Gloucester City Band Competition. The band opened their season with a score of 70.3, one of the highest scores to start the season ever. They had a great overall performance and even won the caption of Best Music Ensemble and finished in second for both visual effect and visual ensemble.
HERSHEY CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION
Congratulations to the Palmyra Marching Band for a great 2018 season. The band performed their hearts out and had a great performance at the open class championships. The band finished 4th in the entire Independence class with a score of 88.45. This is the highest overall end of the year ranking for the group. This is also one of the highest scores in school history. The color guard also had a great competition finishing with a second place overall ranking at championships.
Congratulations to the Palmyra Marching Band for their 2nd place finish in a crowded field of 8 bands at the New Jersey State Championships held at Vineland High school. They earned a score of 88.15. This scorenow puts them top 5 in Palmyra history and they are on pace to challange the school record set just a couple of years ago. The group easily had their best performance of the year raising their score almost 9 points after being off 2 weeks. The band has now come in 1st or 2nd at every competiton they have competed in this year. The color guard also had a great show coming in second place, missing out on first by 1 point. The band has now retaken the 2nd place ranking in the Independence class for all of Cavalcade of Bands.
Congratulations to the Palmyra Marching Band for their 1st place finish at the Clayton Cavalcade of Bands. The band had a great performance and raised their score to a 79.85. They currently own the second highest score for the Independence class. They also finished second for BEST IN SHOW beating all but one of the larger bands. The band also won for captions of Best Visual and Best Effect. So far this season the band has earned 3 first place finishes and 2 second finishes out of their five competitions.
Congratulations to the Palmyra Marching Band for their 2nd place finish in a packed field of 7 bands at Millville High School. The band had a great performance raising their score to a 76.75. They also finished with the thrid highest score in the entire show. They currently own the second highest score in the Independence class of Cavalcade of Bands.
Congratulations to the Palmyra Marching Band for their 2nd place finish at West Chester East High School. The band had a good performance raising their score almost 4 points to 74.65. They again won for the caption of Best Visual Effect. They currently still have the second highest score in the Independence division for Cavalcade of Bands.
Congratulations to the Palmyra Marching Band for their 1st Place finish at Ridley High School. The band again crushed the competition and beat their closest competition by over 4 and a half points. They had a nearly perfect night as they won 11 of the 12 subcaptions on the night, but won captions for BEST MUSIC, BEST VISUAL AND BEST OVERALL EFFECT. Their current score of 70.85 currently ranks as the second highest score in the Independence class of Cavalcade of bands, only .05 behind the current leader.
Congratulations to the Palmyra Marching Band for their 1st place finish at Chichester HS. The band earned a 68.9 to open the season, beating their closest competition by over 6 points. They also swept all of the specialty awards winning trophies for BEST MUSIC, BEST VISUAL, BEST COLORGUARD and BEST PERCUSSION. They capped off their perfect night by winning every caption as well including music, visual and effect.

2017 Highlights
4th Place Cavalcade of Bands Independence Class Championships with a score of 86.6. The band had a great performance, winning the caption of Visual Effect. The band also won the Award for Most Improved, which is given to the band whose score increases the most over the course of the year.
Congratulations to the marchng band for their 1st place finish at Chichester High School. The band scored a 68.85 and crushed their competition by over 5 points. They also won caption awards for BEST MUSIC, BEST VISUAL and BEST OVERALL EFFECT.

Congratulations to the marching band for a great 2016 season! The band established a new school record at championships by scoring a 90.95. This is the first time we have broken into the 90's. The previous record of 88.6 lasted almost 10 years. The band also finished 4th at championships missing first place by a mere 4 tenths of a point.
Congratulations to the Marching Band for their 3rd place finish this past weekend at Clayton HS. The group had a great performance scoring an 85.9, one of their highest scores ever with 2 weeks still to go in the season. They continued to beat the larger bands as well as they finished 4th overall in the field of 12 bands.
Congratulations to the marching band for their 2nd place finish at Millville this past weekend. The band had a great musical performance scoring an 83.45 at the indoor show. They also finished 2nd overall for BEST IN SHOW, narrowly missing out by a half point. The band won BEST OVERALL MUSIC EFFECT for their class and the whole show as well.

Congratulations for earning a third place finish at Egg Harbor High School with a score of 79.8. The Band had another good show and continues to climb up the ranks in the INDEPENDENCE class. The band is currently has the 8th highest score in the Independence class and is ranked 6th.

Congratulations for Winning 1st Place at the Ridley Band Competition with a score of 73.75. The group also finished first for Best Music and Best Visual.
The band finished 5th for best in show (against all the big bands as well).

REMINDER ALL MARCHING BAND MEMBERS MUST HAVE A PHYSICAL TO PARTICIPATE.
The school doctor will be in one final time on Tuesday July 21 for anyone still needing a physical. You MUST turn in your physical packet ahead of time to the school nurse Mrs. McClure so she can put you on the schedule, otherwise you will need to see your family doctor.

Congratulations on earning a 2nd place finish at the Cavalcade of Bands Independence Class A Championships over the weekend with a score of 86.55.
(16 bands competed in our class).
This score is top 3 of all recorded scores that I could find for the Palmyra Marching Band.
The band won the caption of Music Ensemble and came in second overall for Best Music and Best Overall Effect.
Congratulations for 2nd place at Delsea - 84.55

The band also finished 5th out of 14 bands in the entire show (every class)
The band equaled their championship score from last year. This is one of their highest overall scores ever (top 10).

This was our toughest show of the year and everyone did a great job!
