Hi there! My name is Laken Martinez and I am the LA4 PreK teacher at Gray's Creek Elementary. This is my 10th year of teaching, my 6th year in PreK at Gray's Creek. I love teaching PreK! It is never short of love, laughs, learning, and LOTS of entertainement. 

 

I live in Covington, Louisiana (yes, I commute that far becuase I LOVE our school). I graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University (LION UP!) with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I have been married since Novemeber 2019. My husband, Randy, is a Physical Therapy Assistant for St. Tammany Parish Hospital Outpatient. We are fur parents to 2 dachsunds- Izzy Marie (11) and Tux Seymour (4). In my spare time I enjoy reading, writing, decorating, playing board games, and traveling. My favorite thing to do is spend time with family and friends. I love all things weenie dog, Gilmore Girls, Friends, Bravo, lavendar, and pearl.
