Welcome to speech and language therapy.  This month we will focus on spring vocabulary, activities, and themes. Please feel free to write notes in your child's therapy folder if you have any questions or concerns.  Looking forward to seeing you at conferences!  I will be in conference room 3 from 5pm until 6:30 on Thursday March 5th.  I will also be available on Wednesday and Thursday afternoon from 1:00 until 2:30.  Please feel free to stop by if you have a concern, call, or email.  My email is [email protected].

We are in the process of sending home extra therapy practice packets for students.  Materials will be in your child's speech folder or backpack today.  Please utilize these materials to continue to maintain your child's therapy skills in the event of school closure.

Reminder stories are one of the best ways to practice therapy.  Younger level learners can identify vocabulary through pointing, follow directions, such as "touch something is blue", or simply expose your child to additional language and engagement opportunities.  Students with additional language skills can work on skills such as answering a "wh" questions following each page, predicting what might happen next, and recalling and retelling the story.  Students may also use stories to retell the main idea, character, or setting of the story.

The website will be monitored and additional practice materials will be accessible on the therapy website.  Please check back!

If you are looking to make a donation to the speech room we would love some extra tissues, hand sanitizer, baby wipes, and play-doh!!

Scholastic Book orders will be placed every month.  Please help us add to our classroom library by ordering some new stories!  Reading is the perfect way to learn new language concepts and expand your vocabulary.  Please feel free to click on the Scholastic link and participate to help us earn new books for therapy.

OUR CLASS CODE IS GVF4F!!!!
