The Use of Microsoft Surface Tablets, Stylus Pens and Keyboard Covers in the classroom:

Our intent is to enhance the learning opportunities and allow students to learn and utilize the technology that is the industry standard in today’s digital art landscape. This policy includes expectations, responsibilities and direction of student use of Surface Tablets, Stylus Pens and Keyboard Covers as a tool to enhance their learning experience.

Surface Tablets, Stylus Pens and Keyboard Covers will be distributed to students at the beginning of each class when needed. The student must return the Surface Tablets, Stylus Pens and Keyboard Covers to the teacher at the end of every class in satisfactory condition.

The student/parent/gaurdian will be responsible for any damage to the Surface Tablets, Stylus Pens and Keyboard Covers. If any of the equipment is returned to the teacher in damaged condition or was used in an inappropriate manner, the student/parent/gaurdian will be charged a fee for any needed repairs, not to exceed the total replacement cost of the Surface Tablets, Stylus Pens and Keyboard Covers.
