Hi! My name is Mrs. Cavileer and this is my 5th year as the media specialist at Davenport Primary School. Before becoming a librarian, I taught 3rd grade for 3 years at Davenport Elementary. Prior to coming to Davenport, I taught 6th grade for six years at Fernwood Avenue Middle School. So, don't be surprised if I had an older brother or sister! Before coming to E.H.T., I taught in Margate, NJ as a K-5 performing arts teacher. I also had a couple of years experience in the corporate world working for a media relations group in Northern New Jersey before I entered the education field. I completed my undergraduate degree at William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ and graduated with a Masters of Arts in Educational Technology from New Jersey City Univerisity in Jersey City, NJ in May 2011. I worked very hard in 2015 to obtain my Associate School Library Media Specialist certification. I am married and live with my husband and three daughters, one son. In my free time, I love reading, traveling, baking, and spending time with my family!
I absolutely love being in the media center and find that the day goes by so quickly. We are constantly moving around and learning in many different ways. I understand that each child learns differently and I will strive to do my best to support each of your children. I am looking forward to an exciting year ahead!
