My priority each and every year is to motivate, encourage, and engage the students in many different activities. I will do my best each and every day to provide a safe and enjoyable learning environment that address relevant practices. I will challenge them to develop various skills as they move and grow forward. I will also encourage the students to develop a strong work ethic and to be a responsible and respectful member not only in the school society but out in their community as well.
The STEM Objective is to increase student engagement and learning through ongoing expansion and implementation of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) across grades PK-12.
All students will be learning how to operate their computers. Various skills will be learned whether they are in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Grade. They will learn to be proficient with the functions of the keyboards, mice, and printers. We will spending much of our time on our writing, typing, literacy, math, thinking, questioning and researching skills. The various programs being utilized will be Internet Explorer, Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets, Stationery Studio, MS Word/PowerPoint/ and Excel.
We will have a lot of fun while learning the fundamentals, whether it is cooperatively working together or becoming more independent with all of the keyboarding, internet and general computer skills. I encourage the students to use their very valuable reading skills, to help investigate and search the different functions in the various programs. I let them know it is completely fine to make mistakes and fail. It is part of learning and to be able to reach that next step of learning and achieve success in understanding what the mouse and program functions do. Asking questions and being involved in the classroom discussion is helpful for their understanding of "Why" we are learning what we are learning for real world applications in and out of the classroom. It is my sincere honor and pleasure to teach your children, my students, and to help them in their future educational and personal goals and achievements.
