Dear Families and Third Grade Students of B-9,

 

      Welcome to third grade!  You are now an official member of the Blaze Bunch. I am so eager to meet you.  There are many fun, exciting, and interesting things to learn in third grade!  We are going to have a great year making both new and old friends, reading and writing fun stories, discovering new math strategies, and so much more.

 

          This year, Open House is only for students entering kindergarten, first grade, and second grade AI students. I am looking forward to meeting you on our official first day!   We will work together to help settle you into our classroom.

 

         Lunch will occur daily from 12:20pm - 1:00pm.  Therefore, please feel free to bring a small peanut-free snack daily.  It will be helpful to bring in a utensil from home should your snack require it.  The cafeteria is not open during our Snack Time for students to go to the cafeteria to retrieve one.

 

         Please click on the School Supply tab for supplies. You can find the requested supplies for the school year there.  The two-pocket folder can be used as a homework folder, which will be brought back and forth to school daily.

 

         Make sure to get plenty of rest before school starts.  Feel free to share something from your summer break to school.  It could be a picture, a shell, a postcard, a souvenir, a book, or even just a memory!  We will share these memories throughout our first few days of school.  Be sure to also bring your happy SMILE on Wednesday, September 4th!

 

         I hope that you are enjoying your summer with your families.  Enjoy the rest of it.  I know we will have a terrific year together!
