Sixth Grade Homework Policy and Class Expectations

Dyan Kearns, Science

Homework:

Homework will be aassigned in class during the week.  Assignments are due the following day unless otherwise noted.  Information is posted on Oncourse, but is subject to change from class to class and throughout the week.  Students are responsible for copying homework in their agendas daily.  If a student is absent, it is that student’s responsibility to see me at the beginning of the day upon their return to school.  In general, students will have one day for every day missed to make up assignments.  If a student misses class because of an instrumental lesson, it is that student’s responsibility to see me to show me homework and receive any missed work.  If there is an extenuating circumstance at home regarding homework, please send in a note with your child and we will work together solve the issue.

Class Expectations:

It is expected that all students will put forth their best effort and arrive on-time and prepared to class.  If there is a chronic issue with meeting these expectations, I will meet with the student to create a plan to resolve the problem.
