Welcome to Mrs. Kearns' ART class...

 

Art is a means of communication and can be used as a common language. This year, we will use this idea as motivation to encourage thoughtful reflection about the works of art created and the concepts and objectives the pieces demonstrate.

 

Our goal througout the year will be to create a comfortable learning environment that will encourage everyone to take risks and the explore new concepts and materials within the field of Art.  Each lesson will be supported with visual, auditory, technological and individual instruction to meet the needs of different students and learning styles.

 

The only supplies you will need for art are: a PENCIL and an ERASER.  Please bring one of each to class each week.  You may wish to bring your own sketchbook of unlined paper, but this is optional.
