Attendance:

 

• When a student is absent from school, the parent/guardian must notify Eisenhower School by:

• Logging into PowerSchool → Forms and accessing the Attendance Form

• Call 908-231-0230, option 1 → leave a message that includes the child’s name, teacher, expected return date, and reason for absence in your message. 

If you notify Eisenhower by telephone, a note explaining the child’s absence must be emailed to the attendance secretary.

 

Homework: In the beginning of the school year you will receive an agenda. This is the only one you will get for the year so it is important that you don't lose it.  Homework will be posted on the board for you to write down in your agenda. It is your responsibility to write down your homework each night.

 

Extra Help: This will be scheduled by appointment only with Mrs. Knitowski. The day of the week can be determined by scheduling it with Mrs. Knitowski and will take place at 8:40 am. Please let me know a day or two in advance that you will be attending extra help. Make sure you come with specific questions to make our extra help session as productive as possible.

 

Band/Orchestra Students: Students are responsible for knowing when they have lessons. Please review all scheduled lessons the day before coming to school so students know when to attend their lessons.
-It is your child's responsibility to make up any missed work during an instrumental lesson. Your child should speak to the teacher BEFORE leaving for the lesson and a classmate after the lesson to find out what work they need to make up.

 

Lockers: This year you will have the privilege of using a locker to store your belongings. We will be practicing our combinations during the first full week of school. Please use YouTube videos to help you understand how to use your "right, left, right" skills when opening a locker successfully. :)
