We had a crazy week last week and Mrs. Sprake and I would like to thank you for your patience as we navigated through virtual learning.
This week we will learn how to write and the sound of letter "Dd" for dog. They will use the pull down, curve forward writing method for uppercase "D" and circle back all the way around, push up then pull down writing method for lowercase "d"
We will continue to focus on recognizing and writing their names. I encourage students to continue to practice at home. I will be sending home their names that are laminated so they can use dry erase markers to practice, and if you have child safe scissors please practice using them. They can snip scrap paper, straws, playdough, etc. I always tell them thumbs must face the sky.
Communication is very important to your child's success. Please feel free to contact me at the above email at any time if you have any questions or concerns. I will not be able to get back to you until the end of the school day, which is after 3pm.
LUNCH
Please send in a lunch that you child is able to finish on their own. Be sure to send their lunch with two napkins; we use one for a placemat and one is to be used when they finish their lunch.
RECESS
We will go out for recess everyday unless it is too cold or raining. Please have your child dressed appropriately for the weather and always wear closed toe shoes. If your children come to school with rain or snow boots, they need to have shoes to change into for the day.
We are looking forward to a great year!!
Warm Regards,
Mrs. Borrino
