Missing ELA Class

 

When a student misses ELA class, it is their responsibility to catch up on the work that was covered during the absence. Pupils should check for work and directions posted on Google Classroom.  They must also look on teacher websites for posted homework assignments and retrieve papers from their absentee folders when they return to the classroom.  Feel free to check in with a classmate for clarification of assignments and/or to copy notes.  Students may also see the teacher and/or plan to attend an upcoming extra help session.  Parents requesting homework/materials for students who are absent must do so by 10 AM.

 

Students who play a musical instrument will miss one period a week for instrumental lessons.  This lesson is scheduled on the same day each week but the period changes each week.  Therefore instrumentalists might miss any class period such as ELA, Math, Science, Music, Library, Phys. Ed., etc. Students are responsible for checking the schedule posted in the each homeroom and knowing when their lessons are.  During homeroom on the day of a student's instrumental lesson, he/she must check in with the teacher whose class will be missed to touch base before class time arrives.
