Hello! My name is Karen Ortman and I have been teaching in Middle Township for 17 years, however, this is my thirty-third year of teaching. I teach basic skills literacy to kindergarten, first and second grade students. Our basic skills program uses Fountas and Pinnell's Leveled Literacy Instruction to help our young readers become successful. This program has produced great results for several years.
