CLASSROOM POLICIES

  1. Always use good manners and acceptable social behavior.
  2. Report to class before the tardy bell rings.
  3. Enter the classroom quietly and go directly to your assigned seat.
  4. Do not move the desks from where they are positioned.
  5. Come to class prepared.  You will not be allowed to go to your locker or run errands during class time.
  6. Sharpening of pencils is allowed before or after the lecture/discussion part of class.  No one will be allowed to use the pencil sharpener during lecture/discussion time.
  7. You are to continue to work throughout class time.  I expect as much from you in the last 10 minutes as during the rest of the period.
  8. Keep purses, books, and feet out of the aisle.  Your space is your desk and the area immediately in front of you.  The aisle belongs to everyone.  Nothing should be left in or on your desk when class is over.

ABSENCES:        If you miss school, then you should be aware of the following:

  1. You are responsible for all work missed while absent.  The fact that you were not at school is not an excuse for not completing an assignment.
  2. You are required to get any assignments and/or homework that you missed while absent.  If you are absent, it is your responsibility to copy missed assignments from the calendar of a fellow student or from me and to contact me about getting and completing the materials you may have missed.  This should be the first thing that you do when you return to class after an absence.
  3. You must take make-up tests and quizzes within 5 days of a missed grade.  Any test or quiz not made up within this time becomes a zero.  Make-up quizzes and tests will be given in the morning prior to first period.
