Dear Parents and Child,
Welcome to the new school year! We hope you all had a wonderful summer. We are very excited for the start of the school year and have a lot of fun activities planned so that we can all get to know each other. The first day of school is a full day so make sure you pack a lunch or bring lunch money. We will also have snack time in the morning, so bring a small, healthy snack to enjoy!
To start off the school year, we are asking that you supply your child with a few things. Please be sure to label supplies with your child's first and last name.
- 2-pocket folder of your child's choice: This will be for mail going home, letters to the teacher and will be used as our “Friday folder”. A Friday folder goes home on Friday with your child’s work, mail and a communication chart saying how he/she did for the week. This folder is to come back to school with your child every Monday.
- 1 sturdy "PLASTIC" 2 pocket folder: This will be used as a "homework folder." The plastic ones are more durable and last longer.
- Smock: A large, old t-shirt to be worn for art activities once we go back to the classroom
- Pencil case with zipper or pencil box: Must be big enough to hold all your supplies.
- Box of sharpened pencils
- Pack of dry erase markers
- Erasers
- Pencil sharpener that catches the shavings
- Highlighter (any color)
- Pair of scissors
- Colored pen for correcting (not blue or black)
- Pack of thin colored markers
- Large gluestick
- A healthy snack EVERY DAY for once we go back to the classsroom
- Earbuds or headphones in a ziplock bag
- Box of tissues
- Box of 24 Crayola crayons or colored pencils
- 2 Hard covered marble composition books (100 pages) *wide ruled
- Suggested materials: personal hand sanitizer, reusable water bottle
We believe in a strong home and school connection. If we work together and communicate regularly, the end result will be a successful year in third grade. Please feel free to contact us anytime at [email protected] and/or [email protected]
Thank you for your support and we look forward to a great year!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Nancy Bohen & Mrs. Amy Urbanowicz
