Hints:
1.Your child shoud have a box at home filled with supplies. Keep it in a spot where it is easily assessible, but can only be used school work. In the box there should be: a. pencils and a pencil sharpener
b.box of crayons/ markers
c.ruler/scissors
d. glue stick or bottle of glue
2. Every student should practice reading and using the phonics skill to decode words.
3. Next practice basic addition and subtraction facts each night using flashcards. Practice the 0,1,2 first then the doubles, near doubles, and finally any others to the 12s. Also make sure your child learns the math vocabulary for each unit.
4. Study any vocabulary for each subject. Go over the word and how to read it then what it means. Also study the spelling words for the week a litttle each night until test day.
5. Stress to your child the importance of neatness on all work, and to try everything to the best of their ability. It is Ok to make mistakes.
