Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year. I am very excited to get started. Second grade is a very exciting time,but can be a big adjustment for most students. The work becomes more independent and they are asked to be more responsible. Hopefully with cooperation and communication from each family the students will make the adjustment quickly and have a terrific year. This will be a very challenging year for all of us. Teaching and learning virtually will take patience, cooperation, and good communication.
I will do my best to give each child a high quality learning experience with activities on SeeSaw, andZearn (these two sites login through Clever), I will also use google classroom, along with virtual live lessons and meetings through google meets (Students will log into the meetings through my google classroom).
Please join my google classroom using the code e3pjadb.
1. Find and click the google classroom icon on the chromebook.(You must join using your child's chromebook)
2. Find and click the + sign in the upper right corner, then tap join. Next put in the code above and join, this will take you to Mrs. Digiorgio's 20-21google classroom page.
3. Once you have joined, my page will always come up each time your child logs into the google classroom icon.
When we need to meet as a class or individually I will make visible a google meets code. It will appear in the heading area of my google classroom page under my name. To join the meeting your child will just need to click on the code.
For our learning platforms SeeSaw and Zearn we will be logging in though Clever. This sight takes away having to sign in with different usernames and passwords. The student will only need to sign into Clever once and save thier password. Clever then automatically signs them into SeeSaw and Zearn. Here is how you log into Clever.
1. sign into your Chromebook and then open Chrome.
2. In the upper right corner near the back arrow a house. click the house.
3. A Symbalo page will appear with a grid of apps. Scroll down till you see the box with Clever.
4. Cick Clever- then log in with active directory- put in studentID#@millville.org and thier password Bearsmmdd (month and day: example -birthday is September 3 password would be Bears0903)-Save the password when it prompts or asks. You are now in your students Clever account (it will say thier name)
5.Now bookmark this by hitting the star at the end of the address bar. a short cut to this page will now appear below the bar as clever portal. Next time they need Clever they just hit those words.
