Method - Log on to CommonLit and read and answer guided and assessment questions for two short stories "Ripe Figs" and "Story of an Hour" by Kate Chopin.

Day 7 - 9

Objective -  Analyzing Chopin's character development in her short stories

 

Method - Log on to CommonLit to access the stories you read. In a well-developed four-paragraph essay, analyze the author's characterization techniques in the two short stories you read yesterday. Use specific citations from the author and analyze her technique. Email me with questions.

Compare a character in writing with a cinematic version

 

Method: Watch this student production of "Story of an Hour" Write a paragraph comparing the video to what you expected when you read. Email me the paragraph. Title the subject "Chopin's story"
