 Project # 1:

In order to obtain licenses and permits at MVC, you must prove your identity by passing 6 Point ID Verification.  Pretend you work for MVC and you were given the following assignment to inform the public of the necessity to have the proper documentation ready before visiting MVC.

You are to create two posters showing the appropriate documents for primary, secondary, and proof of address.  One poster is for U.S. Citizens and the other poster is for Non-Citizens.  If you wish, you may create either a PowerPoint presentation or two brochures in place of the two posters.   If you opt for the PowerPoint, you must email it to me.   If you opt for the brochures, you may use any of the templates on Microsoft Word.  Make sure when printing the brochures that you put the paper back in the printer so it comes out front/back, not two separate pages.  You will be graded on the accuracy of the information, the number of choices you present in each category of identification, and the creativeness/attractiveness of your project.

Project # 2: (OPTIONAL)

You are to create a PowerPoint presentation to teach someone about signs, signals, and roadway markings.  You must have 25 signs or items.   You must label each one according to category: Regulatory, Warning or Guide.  Each of the 25 items must have a description of what action/precaution a driver must take when the sign/item is encountered on the roadway.  They must be an accurate depiction as to shape, color, or written message.

Project # 3:

You have two options for this project.  You will either create a PowerPoint presentation or a poster.

Option # 1       You will become an expert on either how alcohol affects your driving ability, the consequences of driving drunk, or solutions on how to avoid drunk driving.  You will research using the computer and other resources.  The PowerPoint must be at least 20 slides and give a clear explanation to the criteria presented above.  These slides should be informative and be visually pleasing.  Design this presentation as a Peer Education Campaign.  Use the following websites:

www.madd.org

FYI-This organization is called Mothers Against Drunk Driving.  It gives stats and information on the consequences of driving drunk and how drinking affects a driver.

www.2.potsdam.edu/hansondj/DrinkingandDriving.html

FYI- This website will give you information on how alcohol affects your driving ability, the consequences of driving drunk, and or solutions on how to avoid drunk driving.

http://stopimpaireddriving.org

FYI- This site is extremely helpful and will give great advice on how to avoid drunk driving and how alcohol affects your driving ability.

             Option # 2

You will create a poster campaign which presents at least 10 myths and corresponding facts about "Drinking and Driving".  The poster board should be at least of standard size (22" x 28").  This project also serves as a Peer Education Campaign and will be judged on creativity, impact of message, and originality.

**NO PLAGIARISM MATERIAL IS ALLOWED WITHOUT GIVING PROPER CREDIT AS TO THE sOURCE!  THIS APPLIES TO BOTH THE POSTER AND POWERPOINT.

Project # 4

You must draw on poster board all the vehicle controls, instrument panel, and devices for comfort, safety, and communication on the vehicle you will use for your road test.  YOU MUST SUBMIT THE YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL OF THE VEHICLE SO I CAN CHECK IT FOR ACCURACY!  If you have already taken your road test, then you can choose any vehicle you wish for this project.
