Analyze the recent events that have occurred in the United States

INSTRUCTIONAL STRATEGIES--

1.  As we all have seen by now through the internet, tv, social media, and/or word of mouth a man tragically lost his life in Minnesota last week.  This loss of life has set in motion both violent and nonviolent protests across our country.  Our country is divided in many parts as I write this.  What I would like you to do is simply put YOUR feelings on this subject in writing.  Your final assignment for the school year is to write exactly your thoughts are on this terrible situation.  Focus on the problems that need to be addressed, the ways these problems can be addressed, whether you feel protesting is helping/hurting the situation, whether you feel the protests that became violent is acceptable/unacceptable, and how you specifically feel about this tragedy and the ensuing protests.  The reason for this assignment, is to have you think and reflect about this situation and hopefully come up with real solutions to FIX this problem in our country.  You are the future of this nation and believe it or not can be the voice of reason and change.  I'm not putting a limit on how much you have to write, as I want this to be from the heart.  Don't hold nothing back and write exactly how you feel.  The only thing I will ask is that you submit at least a solid paragraph or two as a minimum.
