World Geography -  Assignments & Grades

 

 

The following is an example of the type of  assignments/grades that should be expected:    

 

 

1.  Performance Grade -  Students have a performance grade of 675 points (15 points X 45 days).

       Points are deducted, based on the following:

            A.  not ready to begin assignment(s), tardy, excuse to leave classroom (ex. restroom)

            B.  does not bring materials

            C.  does not participate

            D.  improper behavior, does not follow instructions

            E.  eating, drinking, chewing gum or leaving trash inside or under desk

3.  Study Guides / Questionnaires / Worksheets

4.  Textbook Assignments (sample)

5.  Completion of Outline Maps  -  Students will receive an outline map with specific instructions for its

    completion.  For each day that a map is late, 30 points will be deducted.

6.  Map Tests

7.  Video Quizzes

8.  Bell ringers (collected and graded at end of quarter)

9.  Bell ringer Test

10.  Essay (2)  -  For each day an essay is late, 100 points will be deducted.

11. Project (?)

 

*****      A pencil is mandatory for tests (scan sheet).  A pencil may be purchased for $ . 25.  I do not lend pencils.  No pencil = Grade zero (0).

 

*****    Late assignments will not be accepted/collected.  Late Assignments = Grade zero (0).  

              (exception - outline map and essay)

 

*****  There is no extra credit work.
