AARON C.M. KRASTING has been the Director of Choral Activities at Paulsboro High School for twenty-four years, and Pennsville Middle and High Schools prior to that. At Paulsboro, he has directed the Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, Madrigal Singers, Women’s Ensemble, female barbershop quartet, Junior Choir, and school theatrical productions. His students have gone on to perform with such renowned groups as the United States Military Academy (West Point) Cadet Chorale, the Rutgers University Glee Club, and many television shows and stages throughout the US. Mr. Krasting is a graduate of Helen Stanley’s choral program at Gateway Regional High School, The Hartt School at the University of Hartford in Connecticut, and recently received the Master’s Degree in Education in School Leadership at Wilmington University, Delaware. As a highly experienced professional chorister, church musician, and tenor soloist throughout the tri-state area, Aaron has had the opportunity to sing with such notable musicians as Clarence Miller, Charles Walker, James Jordan, Gerald Mack, Paul Salamunovich, Simon Rattle, David Hayes, John Rutter, Christoph Eschenbach, Charles Dutoit, Vernon Williams, Jeffrey Smith, and Robert Shaw. Mr. Krasting has proudly conducted the 2010 All South Jersey Junior High Chorus and the 2018 All South Jersey Senior High Chorus, as well as several nominations to conduct the New Jersey All State Chorus. He is also no stranger to the theatrical stage, having served as an actor, vocal director, vocal coach, and stage director at amateur and semi-professional theaters throughout South Jersey. For his work with young people and devotion to the choral art, Mr. Krasting has received three Who’s Who Among American Teacher nominations, the 2001 Paulsboro High School and School District Teacher of the Year title, the 2008 Paulsboro High School yearbook dedication, the SJCDA Founders’ Memorial Scholarship, and the New Jersey Governor’s Award for Excellence in Choral Music. He is also the recipient of the prestigious Eagle Scout Award. In his spare time, Aaron enjoys the Philadelphia Phillies, modern crime and conspiracy novels, and watching his sons perform.
