The 2020-21 school year is my 30st year teaching Health & Physical Education in the Middle Township School District.  In the beginning, I taught at Elementary #1, #2 and the Middle School, however, I have spent most of my career at Elementary#1.  I have also been involved in coaching high school & middle school sports.  I coached football for 4 years, baseball for 14 years and I have served 30 years as an assistant basketball coach, 27 of which, were under long-time Head Coach Tom Feraco.  I served as the Head Coach of the Freshman  & JV teams, as well as, assistant to the Varsity team.  In the Spring of 2017, I completed my 5th & final year as the Middle School baseball coach, 4 of those years as the Head Coach.  Now, I continue to teach at Elem. #1 and spend time watching my daughter, as my son is off to college, compete in several sports at the high school level.  In the fall of 2020, my son started his 2nd year in college and my daughter is now a Senior in high school!

Quarterly REMINDER:

To start the fall, most classes will be held right here at Elementary #1, in the 3rd year of our beautiful GYMnasium.  However, even though some classes will be done virtually for the immediate future, every effort will be made to make the virtual lessons consistent with the in-person lessons.  Keep in mind, a physical education lesson over a computer screen will definately be different then in the gym or out on the field!

Kindergarten will be working on classroom rules and procedures  They will be playing some tag games that help develop spacial awareness, as well as, listening and movement skills.

First & second grades will work on a review of classroom rules and procedures before first grade begins playing tag games & second grade begins soccer skills.  We continue to build upon our P.E. curriculum!

The students are graded in gym, here at Elementary #1, based on listening skills, trying their best & behavior.  Athleticism & skills hold very little weight in the Physical Education grading scale.

I we travel together through these uncharted waters, the education process will have adifferent look & feel to it.  Please be patient & feel free to contact me anytime with questions or concerns!

I will update this site in the when warranted!

Just a reminder,
~
PLEASE HAVE YOUR CHILD WEAR SNEAKERS ON GYM DAYS,

also, if your child needs to be excused from GYM, please send in a note!

*IF STUDENTS ARE EXCUSED FROM GYM, THEY'RE ALSO EXCUSED FROM RECESS!!

                         ~ Thank You!!!
