     Welcome to Brigantine Schools

 School Year 2023-2024

I am so happy to be working with your children this year as an

English Language Arts (ELA) Inclusion/Intervention Teacher.  I will be working in Second Grade with /Mrs.Tedeschi's Class, and I will be providing pull out individual and small group supports to students in self-contained K-4, second grade and third grade, who will benefit from extra reading instruction and intervention.

I will be able to help your child apply skills learned in the classroom and during intervention to their daily work.

I am trained and certified in the Multisensory "Orton Gillingham" (OG) Based Program, a "print to speech" method of teaching reading. I am also currently becoming certified in The "Evidenced Based Literacy Instruction", (EBLI) Program, a "speech to print" method of teaching reading.  Both of these programs are based on the current "Science of Reading " (SOR) research that identifies strategies and practices that have been shown to help students increase their skills in Reading, Spelling and Writing. I will provide some links below for you to learn more about these methods. The methods are like "two sides of the same coin ", same as different students find different strategies helpful when learning to read.

If you would like to contact me please call 609-264-9501, ext.1130 or email me at [email protected]

Looking forward to a successful year.
