Welcome to First Grade!

 

     

 

  

Dear Families,

 

 

I am thrilled to welcome you to our First Grade class! My name is Meg Fornaro, and I am excited to embark on this educational journey with you and your child.

 

 

This marks my 21st year at Bradley Gardens School, and I bring 26 years of teaching experience to the classroom. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, birdwatching, cooking, walking, and savoring a hot cup of coffee. This summer, my family and I had the pleasure of cruising in Italy, traveling to a family wedding in Seattle, and taking a trip to Charleston, SC.

 

 

Classroom Supply List

 

To ensure a successful start to the school year, please provide the following supplies for your child:

 

** Note: Expo markers, pencils, and glue sticks are shared in the classroom**

 

• 1 large pencil case or box (labeled)

• 1 take-home folder (2-pocket, labeled)

• 2 boxes of 24-count Crayola crayons

• 1 box of sharpened pencils

• 2 black Expo dry-erase markers

• 2 glue sticks

• 1 pair of over-the-head headphones (labeled in a bag)

 

Please note: While school supply shopping can be exciting, kindly refrain from sending additional supplies beyond the list provided. If you wish, you may purchase extra supplies for homework use at home.

Together, we'll make this a memorable and enriching year!  Back to School Night will be on Wednesday, September 16th at 7:15 pm.  Please note there is an Open House on September 4th to walk around the school.  Classrooms will not be open.  Teachers will not be present.  Parent-Teacher Conferences are November 19, 20, 23, 24.
