Listed below are some suggested apps to use with your students.  Some are free while others have a minimal charge.

 

Educreation - Interactive Whiteboard-  This is a free app which is a great resource for you to save play plans or child's writing samples!  Children draw on the IPad directly.

 

Learn with Homer....This is a free, groundbreaking, learn to read app for children aged 3-6.  Homer includes a complete phonics program, a library of beautifully illustrated stories, hundreds of science field trips and exciting art and recording tools that children will love.  You can take students picture and add a crown, a thinking cap, etc...

 

Kid mode by Zoodles....This app customizes computer experiences for the child.  It personalizes videos by having children read along.  You can record you and a student reading along.  You need access to teacher tube.  $2.99 per book...The Three Pigs ( is a free book).

 

Leo's Pad 1 and 2.... Leo's Pad is a beautifully interactive, animated series of "appisodes" for preschoolers, in which the student will joing a young Leonardo da Vinci and his friends on big adventures and play exciting games woven seamlessly into the stories.  (art, shapes, color, etc..)

 

Letter School.... This is a tracing app which has great animation.  Children receive guidance while tracing and the scaffold eventually goes away  This is a free app which is a great resource for you to save play plans or child's writing samples for Gold!  

 

Meet Millie..... Interactive E Books (the first one is free)....Get ready to steer the action, reveal surprises, play games and collect stickers along the way in this hilarious book app.

 

Measurement HD....Introduction to basic concepts of measurement such as weight, volume, and length.  This app has bright and cheerful graphics and fun activities.

 

Busy Shapes....Children are motivated to find solutions to solve progressively more challenging shape puzzles through experimentation.
