2. Assessment: Writing - E-mail answers to Mrs. Clark and Mrs. Boyd
Create a comic or write a short story about the dogs doing their jobs. You can send a picture if you draw or make a comic or you can email your short story. Here are two fun websites to try if you create a comic:

Zoom Extra Competion:
-We will attempt to play a Kahoots game.
-If you wish to play, you will need two devices . (Example: Computer and phone or Computer and ipad
-If you don't have two devices, just sit back and watch to see who wins the competition.
Directions: (Kahoots via Zoom will not work with only one device.)
1. On your computer, log into our Zoom meeting with the link & code .
2. Next, on your phone or ipad, go to Kahoot.It to type in the Kahoot code .
3. Note: Your computer screen will only show the questions, but you will have to answer them on your phone/ipad. (This is why you need two devices to play.)

In an effort to keep students engaged and learning, I have assigned weekly work while we are out. These optional assignments must be completed online, and students may work at their own pace. Assignment details can be found in the tab on the left dated by each week.

Powerschool - Pearson Courses - Pearson Realize - Student Edition - Menu - Unit 5 - Independent Learning Section (Students have practiced this in class many times, and they should know how to access this without any help. If they cannot do this, please email me for assistance or message me on the Remind 101. )

1. Pearson Textbook: "A Long Way Home" (Memoir) -found in the Whole Group Learning Section -Listen to passage (may take two days because of length)
2. Take Selection Quiz in the Assessment Section
3. Go outside and play a game of Hop Scotch, Mother May I, Freeze Tag, Red Light, Swing a Statue, or any other "old school" game - look it up if you don't know how to play. E-mail Mrs. Clark: which games did you have to look up and which games you enjoyed playing most?

6th Grade Math (Jones) Make sure you are checking for Math assignments in Google Classroom each Monday. Updates will be sent in Remind when new information is posted.
8th Grade ELA (Theriot) All assignments will be posted on Google Classroom and will be updated each week. Please keep reading AR Books. Aim for 15 minutes at least 5 days a week. If you have access to a computer, complete Independent Pracitce for Unit 4. Consider working on your Book Banner, Book Poster, and Book Report.
