Dear Parents and Students:
It is my pleasure to welcome you and your child to second grade!! My name is Mrs. DeTrizio and I am happy to be your teacher this year! I am very excited about this school year. You will be reading lots of books, writing your own stories, learning spelling words as well as new math strategies. There are many fun activities I have planned for this year, it's going to be so much fun!! I will try my best to make this the greatest year!
Dear Parents:
Second grade is an important year for your child, and he or she will needs lots of encouragement. We strive to help your child become more independent and responsible with his or her work habits. Please check and sign your child's homework agenda EVERY NIGHT and make sure all the homework is done before he or she comes to class. It is important to read with your child every night as well as help them review their minute math. You should also review any work that has been done in class. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to contact the office to schedule an appointment with me. Second grade is a very exciting year, and I look forward to working with you and your child in the months ahead. Let's all work together to have a GREAT YEAR!
