Literary Analysis - Students will respond to Literature using writing strategy: BEP - Basic Expository Paragraph

Student's quizzes will be based off of Grammar.
Student's quizzes will be based off of academic vocabulary.
Student's quizzes will be based off of independent reading - answering comprehension questions to show student accountability.
Student's quizzes will be based off of Writing Strategies.
Student's tests will be the final writing project for Explanatory Writing using the state assigned rubric.
Student's tests will be based off the novel assigned for the marking period.
Projects
Student's rough draft writing will be their project grade because it is a lengthy assignment and takes a lot of revision.
Students may receive a novel project.
Grammar
Students will continue with grammar, fine-tuning complete sentences, sentence fragments, compound and complex sentences, different types of sentences, dashes, semicolons, colons etc.
