Hello!! :) Welcome to Mrs. MacMath's 2025-2026 Second Grade Class!!! If you are reading this, then we will be spending 2nd grade together!!! ;) Please click on the links in the left margin for additional information about our classroom :) I am so excited to meet you on the first day of school, Tuesday 9/2. *Note there will be no Meet and Greet this year. Please read Mr. Beaumont's email. There you will find a link to some generic 2nd grade supplies. Below you will find some things that are more specific to our classroom :)
The following is a list of items that your child will need:
**Generic 2ND GRADE List (found on school website)

1 box of pencils: Ticonderoga, pre-sharpened only

1 mini pencil sharpener

2 boxes of 24-count Crayola crayons

1 box 12-count Crayola colored pencils
-
1 set of traditional headphones - (not earbuds) Place in plastic bag labeled with first & last name

2-3 large Elmer’s glue sticks
-
4 black dry-erase markers - chisel tip
-
2 highlighters of your choice
-
2 colored pens of your choice
-
1 soft, zippered pencil case *NO HARD CASES PLEASE...they won't fit in the desk.:)

Please label all items with your child’s first & last name
**Items Specific to Mrs. MacMath's Class :) :
1 inch SOFT, FLOPPY 3 ring binder for Math homework 
.The hard covered binders and ones larger than 1" don't fit in the homework bin :)
* 3 "Read to Self" books for independent reading. These should be books that your child can read independently. (be sure your child's name is inside each)
* 1 pack of 3x5 white index cards (100 count)
* 2 packs of 3x3 sticky notes
* 5 folders total - ( the heavy duty laminated type - paper will rip) -
4 plain solid colors (*Yellow , Blue, Purple, and Green) I'm not trying to be picky but I've just found that if I can color code folders by subject it makes things easier :)
- 1 of their choice for a "Stay in School" Folder (puppies, sports, whatever they like :) ...Just no glitter. I personally LOVE glitter, but the labels won't stick to it :( **I will provide a "Homework Folder").
MANY of these items are on sale at both Shoprite and Staples right now :)
***Also...It would be really helpful for your child to become familiar with their username and password in order to log on.
Housekeeping Items ...Totally optional, but very much appreciated!!! :)
* cleaning wipes of any kind - Clorox, Lysol, generic, etc.
* Baby wipes - generic
*Hand Sanitizer
*Soft tissues
*Ziplock style baggies (gallon/quart/sandwich/snack) We only need one or two boxes total of each. These come in handy for special projects, etc.
