Welcome to the BRRSD ESL Program! My name is Maria Sandborg and I am blessed to be working with your child as an English as a Second Language (ESL) specialist this year. I began my teaching career 28 years ago and have worked in the Bridgewater-Raritan School District at Hillside Intermediate School and JFK Primary School. This year I will also be at Van Holten Primary School.
My first language was Italian, and through my love of culture and languages I came to study and teach Spanish, as well. Being an ESL Teacher has been a dream come true as I am able to travel around the world through the many amazing students! Please provide your child with a Two-Pocket Homework Folder and Water Bottle for school each day. Please check your child's folder each night to complete homework and notes.
